Pile of Cookies | CranHoney Spice Cookies

My friend Candace and her husband came by the Farmer's Market a few weeks ago and told me about this recipe! I was super excited about it and told her to send me the recipe! Since there are a lot of us living in our house when a recipe is amazing it won't last a day! These cookies were gone by the end of the day! I love using honey in recipes because it makes it very moist and melts in your mouth. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we all did!

What you need:
1 cup sugar
1 cup CranHoney
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
4-4 1/2 cups flour or 4 1/2 cups of spelt flour

How you do it: In a pan melt the butter over low heat. Add in the CranHoney and sugar. Let cool.

In a small bowl mix together eggs, baking soda, salt and spices. Stir into Butter-CranHoney mixture.

Slowly mix in flour until smooth.

Drop teaspoon sized balls of dough onto pan about 2" apart.

Bake @ 350 for 8-10 minutes.

Did you know that they have found one of the first apiaries (Bee Farm)  in Israel? It dated back to around 10 BC! Crazy!  You can read more about it here:  Science Daily

Milk is a must with cookies so I encourage you to have some ready when these cookies come out of the oven!

See you next Wednesday!

Sarah
